Lufthansa is the 2nd largest airline in Europe and a highly recognizable global brand, associated with quality and excellence.  

For many years PureFluent has worked with a number of divisions within the company, including Lufthansa Technik and Miles & More. However, the bulk of the recurring work has been in the localisation of the Lufthansa Worldshop website, an important outward face of the company. The website has 2 major product refreshes every year and regular ongoing updates and bulletins.

As one of our oldest customers, Lufthansa have trusted and relied on us to provide high quality translations against tight deadlines time and time again. To meet this challenge we created dedicated teams for each language to offer the greatest possible continuity and consistency over the long relationship. The use of dedicated teams is our preferred approach for all key customers to establish uniformity between both the client and their copy. The Lufthansa teams are now so experienced they easily spot minor errors in the source language and through our query resolution system ensure that both the original copy, and the translations in all languages are amended correctly.

The dedicated team approach has also resulted in greater efficiency and enabled us to deliver against tough time constraints during the major refreshes of site content while maintaining the required quality standards. In addition, we have reduced costs of up to 40% for Lufthansa with the use of Translation Memory software, which ensures consistency of translations across the site as replicated sentences are translated the same way each time they appear.

This journey began over 4 years ago and shows no sign of nearing its end.
